John Mayer on the Road Again

January 31, 2002

John Mayer is back on the road with a series of headlining dates that began January 29 in Gainesville, Florida (see itinerary below). Since the 1999 release of Inside Wants Out -- a DIY homemade effort which John sold at his shows and distributed himself -- and his major label debut Room For Squares (Columbia Records) in September 2001, Mayer has been crisscrossing the U.S., building a fan base.

"No Such Thing," the first single from Room For Squares, is hitting multiple radio formats across the country. It's been the number-one most played record in Chicago, Boston, Portland, Baltimore and Memphis and received airplay at AAA, Hot/Modern Adult Contemporary, Modern Rock and Top-40 stations nationwide.

Mayer has been singled out as one of Rolling Stone's "10 Artists to Watch/The Next Wave" in the magazine's February 14th issue.

"Your Body Is a Wonderland," the next single from Room For Squares is scheduled to impact AAA radio on March 5th.
